What to Bring

On the day of the appointment, be prepared to ride. The coach will have you perform a fitness test lasting about 30 minutes to an hour.

Please bring:

  • Your bike
  • Cycling kit (the clothing and shoes you wear on your typical ride).

Good to have (we have loaners available if you don’t have):

  • Bottle of water
  • Bike computer
  • Cadence measuring device
  • Heart rate monitoring device

Bonus items (don’t worry if you don’t have these):

  • Power meter

What to Eat

If you are registered for a morning session, don’t worry about getting up early to eat; your body will have enough stored energy to complete the test! For those evening sessions, eat a good meal 3-4 hours before the test. It is important to have your glycogen stores topped off before attempting this workout!

What to Expect

The coach will set you up on a trainer and have you go through a series of exercises while watching your heart rate (and power if available) to gauge your level of fitness.
