Achievements

The following is a list of recent achievements by our Cycling Center Members.

2012

  • The 2012 season started out surprisingly well.  The win count started with Tracy Hogan.  In a wrestling match to the line, she won a sprint finish in a criterium.  But not too far was Birgit Cory, who took a mighty fine second place.  The race was hard and marred by crashes.  The pack was constantly splitting apart and coming back together, but the girls hung tough and showed character. 
  • At the same time, a great result was delivered in the men’s race by Michael Jacques.  Michael won his first race and I’m sure that he dedicated the win to his newborn son, Noah. 
  • Not even two weeks had gone by, and Tracy Hogan pleasantly surprised everyone with a 3rd place in a circuit race.  Consistent results show true class of a rider, and she is very classy.  This circuit race has also seen the debut of Annie Carrino, a former triathlete who decided to try out road racing.  Although Annie doesn’t have much experience with road races, she powered away from her field and soloed in for the win.  Congrats to all…Let’s keep the momentum going!

  • California District Chempionship July 11-12, 2009 MARY E. ALLEN - Persuit 2k - GOLD; Sprint - SILVER.
  • California District Chempionship July 11-12, 2009 RICHARD F. ALLEN - Persuit 2k - GOLD; Team Persuit 3k - GOLD; Sprint - BRONZE.
  • California State Chempionship, Markleeville July 26. KYLE GLERUM - SILVER. NCNCA Masters 35+RR.

2008

  • Kristy Cough won Crit. Chery Pie; RR Merced; RR and Crit. Merco; RR Patterson Road.
  • Matthew Peterson won Crit. Merco. Road. Masters.
  • Roman Kilun takes Champion of California TT. Road. Elite.
  • Kyle Glerum takes 2;2;3;3;3 places on District Championships Track. Masters.
  • Roman Kilun takes 2nd place TP on US NC. Track. Elite.
  • Mary Ellen Allen takes Champion of US. 2 kilo. Track. Masters.

2007

  • Nicole Honda won Across America Century.
  • Daniel Brasse upgrades from cat. 5 to cat 4. Road. Masters.
  • Roman Kilun takes Champion of California PR,TP. Track. Elite.
  • Roman Kilun takes 2nd place TP on US NC. Track. Elite.
  • Steve Pelayez won District Championships Kilo, TP, Scratch. Track. Elite.
  • Steve Pelayez twice takes 3rd place Kilo and Scratch on US NC. Track. Elite.
  • Roman Kilun takes Champion of California Crit. Road. Elite.

2006

  • Kyle Glerum upgrades from cat. 4 to cat 2. Road. Masters.
  • Sam Campbell upgrades from cat. 5 to cat 4. Road. Masters.
  • Allan Vugrincic takes Champion of California Kilo. Track. Elite.
  • Allan Vugrincic takes 16th place on US NC. Kilo. Track. Elite.

2005

  • Roger Bennett won stage race Mac LAN. Road. Masters.

2004

  • Roger Bennett upgrades from cat. 4 to cat 1. Road. Masters.
